When the Pilgrims landed close to Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1620 they have been unprepared for the challenges they’d face. Many Pilgrims died till Squanto, a Patuxet Indian, taught them survive. To offer thanks for a very good yr, the Pilgrims threw an enormous feast, later known as Thanksgiving.
