The Matchmaker:

Girl Philippa Willoughby is renowned for hosting numerous gatherings and celebrations at the castle. While she can be quite meddlesome at times, she takes it upon herself to act as a matchmaker for the villagers. Her carefree nature often leads to gossip about her being an unsuitable young woman. When her father arranges a betrothal to a Frenchman she has never met, she rebels against the decision. Determined to find her own match, she plans to attend the upcoming St. Valentine’s Day dance.

The Novice:

The youngest of six sons, Lord Etienne de Beynac has brought disgrace upon his family with his reckless behavior. After being disowned by his father and brothers, he has no choice but to comply with his father's wishes. Etienne then decides to seek refuge at a monastery in England, where he becomes a novice, far away from his family in France.

Etienne faces a final chance at redemption before committing to a life as a monk. Upon his brother's request, he visits Grimsthorpe Castle to investigate his brother's future wife, Lady Philippa, to determine if she is a suitable match for their family. However, his intentions are complicated when he finds himself irresistibly drawn to Lady Philippa, risking his monkhood vows.
