Astrid Murphy, with her unique webbed fingers and a deep connection to saltwater, is often seen as an oddity. She longs to blend in and be just like the rest of her family. Little does she know that she is destined to be the future leader of the Deep Clan, a community of merfolk on the brink of extinction due to pollution and overhunting. Astrid holds the key to their survival, making her the only hope for the Deep Clan.

Zander's task was to locate Astrid and transfer ownership of her house without allowing emotions to interfere. Amidst a perilous web of circumstances, a forbidden love between a warrior and the daughter of a clan emerges. Knowing their love cannot take precedence, Zander and Astrid understand that the well-being of the Deep Clan must come first.

Despite all odds, it is Astrid's own father, a member of the deep clan she never expected, who will ultimately destroy everything she holds dear.
